For an easy start, the house base is pre-cut and pre-glittered in a gorgeous, eye-catching copper colour, so rich that you can almost taste the gingerbread! The stand, which is also cut and glittered for you, can then be easily attached at the back with tape so you can put your gorgeous creation on display.
Adding Detail
Next comes the first stage of decorating, using the provided paper frosting shapes to create that fresh fallen snow look. These paper shapes are cut for use on the chimney, the roof, door and window, and also include candy cane shapes for extra festive decoration. Children will easily be able to see which shape is which, and have fun sticking them accurately into place for an impressive base that they can now start personalising.
Personalising Your Creation
Now children are free to add colour, patterns and anything else they like to the paper to make the houses totally personalised to them! This can be done with pen, pencil and paint, or by gluing on any craft materials they can get their little hands on. For a finishing touch, use the colourful holographic paper dots provided, which will add an extra bit of sparkle in case the glitter wasn’t festive enough! These can be used to represent doorknobs, baubles, or just as a general pattern - the only limit is imagination.
With great imagination comes a great number of ideas - sometimes too many to choose from. That’s why we also include a booklet with plenty of instructions and ideas for children to copy if they get stuck.
