The design incorporates non-magnetic laminate drywipe surfaces for everyday writing, drawing or calculating where magnets are not often used. Although steel boards can have a higher surface guarantee, the prospect of stains, scratches and damage from high impact are quite unlikely under normal circumstances where boards are typically used by one teacher, making the quality and price of steel boards excessive for most.
Compared to its round tube framed counterparts, these boards embrace a classic square frame design to lower production costs where such design features are rarely noticed. This frame is also more lightweight for easier movement, made possible by the 5cm castors which are lockable for additional stability. The rigidity of the design is further improved by the steel cross bar underneath the board, which holds the pen tray for easy access at all times.
