Wide Bookcase, Adjustable Shelves, 5 Shelf Tiers – 1370mm(H)
Use a wide bookcase to expand storage space without increasing the height. Whether used for exercise books, revision guides or other learning resources, this bookcase is an essential in any school with growing class sizes or a wealth of supplies.
Design
The bookcase has been designed specifically with KS2 and KS3 children in mind. With a generous width, it is possible to store a larger quantity of items whilst keeping the height low enough for them to reach all shelves. In doing this, children are empowered with the responsibility of finding what they need and tidying up when they are done, or picking up a book to develop their knowledge or discover new interests of their own accord.
The design consists of 5 shelf tiers, including 4 adjustable and removable shelves to help accommodate larger items. These can be fixed securely to the desired height, resulting in greater durability for heavy objects compared to alternative shelves that simply slide on and off. These features are especially useful for supporting the high capacity of a wide shelf, or for accommodating books with large dimensions such as encyclopaedias. This design makes it possible to store not only books, but equipment, files and stationery that needs to be accessed just as frequently. The top of the unit is also suitable for storage, including décor items or large objects that don’t fit within the confines of the shelves. All items on the shelves and top of the bookcase will be quick and easy to find with a single glance, as well as within reach for the children. The bookcase itself is static for permanent status and safe usage in any environment.
Construction
The unit is constructed using 18mm thick melamine faced chipboard (MFC), a common material in classrooms due to its strength and durability under frequent handling. This durability allows us to proudly offer a 25 year guarantee, so your school can use its tight budget wisely. The MFC used in this product is FSC certified.
