TickIt Colour Acrylic Block Set – Pack of 25
The TickIt Colour Acrylic Block Set is a beautiful and versatile resource that has many uses, from building shapes patterns and 3D pictures to creating environments for small world play.

The set comes with 25 polished translucent acrylic shapes - in 17 different models and colours - which can be combined to make 8 composite squares with 8cm each make them attractive and easy to put away after use. The set also includes a plain acrylic mirror, 15 A4 work cards and a teacher's activity guide, including background information, suggested activities to try, questions to ask the children and extension ideas as well as a robust card box with foam inserts to protect the blocks.
The smooth, colourful, tactile blocks are designed to enable children to build patterns and sequences as well as create imaginative pictures using:
•Regular polygons to help with mathematical language and the understanding of shapes and forms (square, triangle, rectangular, circle, ellipse)
•Irregular shapes to enable more complex pictures to be made and to encourage a rich diversity of language such as wave, zigzag, arch, bridge etc
Using the plain acrylic mirror, children are encouraged to build patterns and see the effects of reflective symmetry.
When used with a light panel, young learners can see the world in a different hue as they the variety of coloured blocks mixing them into new colour combinations.
